Under the Sea Birthday Party

Friday night after Wild 3 I had lots of help getting ready for Quinny's Under the Sea themed Beach Birthday Party the next day! I love these crazy girls!
The next morning everyone was super helpful in setting up - I directed everyone with what I wanted, and then I spent most of the time fighting with my cupcakes - it was SO HOT outside, so my icing was melting before I could decorate them! SO annoying. So I was thankful for our awesome friends and family who helped with everything else!
Napping before her big party! She was out like a light immediately, like the napper she is! But once people started to arrive, I decided to wake her up early... She was snoring, and I whisper "Quinny, it's time to our your party dress on and start your birthday party" and she INSTANTLY sits up and grins and yells "OKAY!" This is even funnier because she NEVER wakes up quickly, or happily. She needs time to open her eyes and greet the day. So this made me laugh how excited she was
Father and Son doubling on the quad
The Sea Shell Painting station
Digging for buried treasures (I hide necklaces/bracelets/gold coins in there)
Love this man. We had decided this year to "tone it down" when it came to her birthday... I just somehow can't help myself! And he doesn't complain one bit, he just laughs and then does whatever he needs to to help!
Camp and Church friends mixing! I love that
Cuties. Lisa had to work, but she snuck over for a little bit to go for a swim and give Quinny a kiss
Pretty Birthday Girl!
What an incredible spot. It is just so beautiful at Wildside! A perfect place for a beach party! (also, those balloons are stuffed full of candy...)

I assembled the cupcakes in the freezer and left them there until it was time to serve - yep, people had to eat frozen cupcakes. It was the only way to keep the candy on without sliding off! But they tasted good (thank you Lisa!!! She baked them all for me since I don't have a real oven at WS!) and looked cute! Little fishes and octupus'!

This sight was awesome - everyone just laughing and swimming and hanging out. So fun
Quinny and Sophia!

Best wrapping paper! Q actually took the fish off of there and kept them - they are now hanging on the wall by her kitchen at home.
Auntie Hanna kayaking with Rylee
Present time! She got so many amazing and thoughtful things! Such an amazing community of people we are surrounded with!

These made me laugh when I saw them after - Neil in the background! I had no idea he was back there, but he doesn't love crowds so it didn't surprise me, and he had the best view! Too funny. Also I love how happy Quinnybear is here - she was so awesome all afternoon, just giddy and excited and happy that she had so many friends around to play with! She was also quite excited about this crown that is on her head - Ashley and Peter and the boys bought her that and she put it on as soon as she opened it!
Her own new harness!!!! Nannie and Papa got her that!! Now she can climb in a harness that fits her! She was so pumped about it.

And a helmet to match! Thank you Auntie KK and Mimi!
Time for the balloon drop! The kids went wild popping all the balloons - so much easier and more fun than a piƱata.

Her stash of candy from the balloons
So much joy she can hardly contain it!
Happy birthday singing time!

Neil did so much to help us get ready! We love that he makes it a priority to come out every year for her birthday. It is so special! And he blends so well with Jon's family and our friends! It's really nice to have him there.
Love love love this gorgeous friend of mine.
Quinny saw us take the picture and ran over yelling "take one with me in it too!" So we did it again just for her haha
Wearing her pretty new fairy wings (upside down) and wand from the Renton's! She loves these wings. She wears them all the time! Dress up is really something that she is getting into these days
Sweet Ady having a great time with the paint by herself

All changed and ready to try out her new climbing gear!
Jon clipped in and went down with her.
This kid LOVES rappelling - the "bouncing" down is her favorite part, and she has really good form!
A fun way to end the busy day! Mostly everyone was gone by then, just family left, and they all headed out after she was done coming down the mountain. It was a full, hot, fun and busy day! We got Quinny to bed, cleaned up, (Nate did so much! He ended up staying over and helping out so much cleaning up wise!) and we were finishing, I started to feel sick. I started puking and a migraine came on instantly - heat stroke. I did not drink nearly enough water in this hot, busy day! I was too distracted. Lesson learned! I was sick the whole next day too. Not fun! But the party was worth it :)
On Sunday we brought out her last gift - this new jeep from my Dad and Raquel. It needed to charge for 14 hours after being assembled, so that is why she had to wait to get it. She was really excited! She hopped right in and was eager to learn how to drive!
It has a radio and aux port to listen to music, and it has parental controls so that she can't go full speed. Hilarious! She gets in and puts her belt on and off she goes! But she knows she needs an adult to help her, and she is really good at asking and listening to the rules. She loves driving this thing around camp! So much space for her to drive around!
Showing off her new runners from Grandpa Neil! She loves how "fast" she can run with these!
Sunday was also the start of Wild 4 - and we didn't have any cooks for that week! So thankfully we have awesome friends who decided that they could tag-team it and make it happen. So Sharon did dinner for us Sunday as well as breakfast for a few days! We were so grateful for the help! She took this of us and put it on her insta, and it was very sweet of her. We do love this part of camp - taking a step back and watching the bonds form between them all. Camp is awesome.
