Time Hop reminded me on Halloween of the time 4 years ago I dressed as a ladybug and then 3 years after that, I dressed Quinny as a ladybug. Funny!
She was VERY excited to dress as Queen Elsa - it was all she wanted to be. She even wanted me to braid her hair like Elsa and Calea made her a crown
Too cute!!
Halloween fell over moving weekend, so we had a house full of people helping us move in boxes and unpack boxes! Chemainus was having a small town event, so I thought it would be fun to take her and get her out of the house for a while. So I got her dressed up before lunch and Lisa came with me into Chemainus! She fell asleep on the 10 minute drive from Crofton to Chemainus. Such a beautiful "queen".
They had the horse and carriage running and kids and parents could get on, and then you went around downtown and stopped every few feet and different business owners came out and gave the kids candy! What an awesome idea! Q LOVED it!!!
Totally entranced by the horses!
Mary was one of the stops, and she was all dressed up haha! As the outreach Deacon at church, she tries to be in the community for all sorts of events, and this was no exception. She had a little "Calvary Baptist" booth and came and handed candy out to the kids! Dressed as a bananaWe came back and spent the afternoon unpacking. Aimee and Calea came to help, which was awesome! Its nice having family unpack your house because they don't worry about it not being "right" and they are just helpful. This was a picture I found on my phone later on, that Q had taken of "my KK" as she calls her!
The girls helping us set up Q's room!
Lisa, Brad and Matt stayed for dinner and then they stayed behind to hand out candy (we had six kids! We are at the top of a big hill, so I figured not many would venture up here!) and we took Q up and down our street. It was a nice way to meet neighbours!
She was SO cute! She would knock timidly and when they would answer she would say "Hi, trick treat pease" all quietly. And then when they gave her candy she would say "THANK YOU my tricking treat!" much louder. Our street was great for her because theres enough that she had fun, but not tons so there wasn't a huge amount of candy. It was a fun day :)
