Another Week Goes By

Little construction girl with her belt and safety goggles on, working hard!
I saw this on Scary Mommy blog and it made me laugh! I've turned into quite the coffee drinker in the past few months - I drink it every single day these days. My toddler must be the reason why...
Brooke and Alexis sent Quinny their school pictures in the mail, and she carried them around everywhere the first day, and would talk to them haha! Here they are watching her play play-doh. She really loves those girls, despite the distance!!!
And they even came in the car with us for a car ride haha! She held on to them tight and told them all sorts of stories. I sent the girls a few videos of it, and they loved it! We can't wait until our next visit!!
I won a prize through Healthy Role Models program!!!! Yay!
Wednesday last week we spent the day at Wildside with Jon. I did a bunch more painting in the bathroom and Q ran around and rode her bike and just played while Jon worked. Love these days. I brought our cooler along with food for lunch and snacks and dinner - such a great day. It ended with eating dinner at Lisa's and then me and Lisa meeting Samarah at Starbucks in the evening for a coffee date. Always so many laughs when we get together!
Jon's car died and despite all our efforts to charge it, the battery was just totally dead. So after work on Thursday, I went and bought him a new battery for it. I was so proud of myself for getting the right one! haha. Q was right in there, helping him change it. What a cutie!
Jon was so proud of himself after finishing - he has never put a battery in a car before, and it all worked great! Now we can go back to being a two car family, which makes our life much easier since we are all over the place! Elijah came over that night for dinner with these guys while I worked, and then once Quinnybear went to bed, we played games. He is fun to have around - funny, helpful and likes to play games. Hanging out one on one like this is the best part of Jon's church job
Friday morning after having a shower - I can't remember when I said to her, but it was something she didn't really like. We are past the throwing tantrums stage (for the most part... thank goodness that stage only lasted a really short period of time!!), and instead she now does this: goes into her room and crawls up on her bed, all sad and pouty, and pulls the blankets all around and mops for a while. Once she gets over it, she hops down with a totally different attitude. She is so my child, sometimes its alarming how similar we are haha! She has never seen me do this, but when I am sad or hurt, I also crawl under my covers, alone just to think and be sad and after a few minutes I feel better. The things that we do the same are too funny.
Time to head to Victoria! Jon was at camp all day Friday and was staying overnight because it was WOA weekend and he was running a few sessions, and I didn't want to be home alone. So down we went! Tim and Lois were gone all afternoon and evening, but here is Quinny reading the paper with her Papa haha!
We went for dinner with Calea and Aimee and then just spent the evening at the house, just the two of us. It was quiet and nice. I went up to go to bed a while after she had been sleeping for a while, and she sits up with her eyes still closed and says "I so thirsty Mama" so I hand her my water bottle and she drinks like this, and then lays down and passes right back out. Not even sure if she was awake haha. We have a whole huge king sized bed there, and she still will just snuggle right into me, pressed right into my body. I try to push her over, but she always makes her way back. So finally I gave in, and just cuddled her all night. While it does get hot and uncomfortable, I do love being close to her and having her so little that she still wants to be close to me. Before I know it, these days will be over and I will be aching for them, I'm sure!
