We went to Neil's on the 23rd to do Christmas with him and Grandma Doris. We love this tradition -its our first turkey dinner of the season, and its fun to spend the time together, and really start Christmas. We always go there for the afternoon, eat dinner, and then sleepover, staying up late playing games. This year was no exception! here is Neil and Grandma getting dinner prepped! Love them!!!
AAHHH those faces!!!! They are so cute. I LOOOOVE that we are together!!!!! Can you tell I REALLY love my brother and Shelby??!! ha!
Quinny was anxious to get going with opening presents, so we let her open a few before dinner.
A new blender for her kitchen! She also got a blender and a hand immersion blender, all for her kitchen! Lucky girl! She plays with her kitchen every single day, non-stop, so these things will get lots of use!
Oh my love. Having him off work and stress free was so nice. Less time on his phone, no emails to answer... I like having his undivided attention haha! He is so fun, and he brings so much life to everything we do - and he just rolls with the craziness of how busy we are when we come to Medicine Hat, and he loves my family. I totally lucked out when I found him.
Making us all 'smoothies'
We told her she had to wait until after dinner for the rest, which was hard for her! So Auntie Shelby with Mother Goose on Netflix to the rescue! They cuddled and sang the nursery rhymes together... cute!
Ready to keep going! Grandpa Neil and Great Grandma Doris spoiled this girl rotten!
The hit of the night - new runners with Princesses on them and they light up. She was over the moon about them!!! (and I am writing this a month later, and she still wears them every chance she gets!) (Also her shirt was a new one from her shopping spree the day before - "Current Family Favorite" - could that be more true?! In my family at least! haha! Too cute)
Family dinner!! Delicious. They did such a great job! We had a great time all together
"Guys, I just really want to open the big one!" So she does... and its a light up scooter!! So cool. Jon quickly got it together for her and Neil let her drive it around the house. She LOVES it! And she was pretty excited that both her scooter and her new runners light up haha!
After she played with all her new things (which also included a few new movies!), she went to bed really well and we pulled out the games! Neil bought Brandon and Shelby Code Names, the game that Aimee bought me for my bday! We played it all night long, and we yelled a lot and laughed a LOT. Such a great game!
Sleeping Beauty, no pjs on, cuddling Olaf, and taking up the entire bed! She started coughing that night quite hard, which concerned me. Jon ended up sleeping on the couch, and her and I cuddled all night so I could rub her back.
The next morning I could tell that she really was coming down with something. She was still in pretty high spirits, but she was coughing more and seemed a little off. But we played her new game (Break The Ice, another gift from Grandpa Neil!) and ate homemade eggs benny. Yum!! Merry Christmas! Thanks for having us Neil! We loved it!
