First Bike Ride

I woke up this morning and that headache was still there, but stronger than ever. The beautiful thing about working in ministry is that you have a boss who really cares and understands and is flexible. Jon called Andy and then was able to stay home a bit later so I could take meds and sleep it off. By 10 it was mostly gone and I was just feeling gross, so he went off to camp and I decided to get outside. Wednesday's are Tiny Tumblers day and I still wanted to take Q, figuring getting out would be good for me and her. I packed her into the new bike trailer and off we went!
We went the long way home and got the mail and stopped at the park. Her curls pulled back into a pony is just so cute!
The ride home was intense. So many hills!!! I ended up having to walk the bike up my street... I was totally exhausted when we got home! Add that to the medication that also slows me down a bit, I was pretty tired! But it did feel good to get out and by lunch I was sluggish still but mostly pain free. Yay. Q and I watched a bit of The Voice after lunch and I had to take of picture of her holding my hand. She just reached over and grabbed it and wanted to sit like this. So much like her Daddy. I love it
A long time ago my mom bought Q a bear that sings and talks made by VTech. We have used it tons to play bedtime music for her - I knew it could be programmed but I just never did it because I forgot. Finally today I thought of it and plugged it in and was amazed with how personalized it could be! Why did I not do this a year ago?! It asked all sorts of questions about her favorite food and colors and games and names of friends. I asked Jon what he would put and his answers made me laugh because we had the same ones! Out of all the animals in the world, we both knew that chickens, cats and cows are her favorite. So funny!
Quinny's face when she woke up and I showed her that her bear now says her name she was SO thrilled and so cute!! She kept saying "Kinnlyn! Kinnlyn! My bear saying Kinnlyn!" And had the biggest smile. When the bear said "Quinnlyn do you want to go to the park with me? We could ask Ady to come with us" I thought she was going to pee herself with excitement! I also put Kenna and Madi's names as her friends, and she was just so excited when it talked about them. I can't believe I waited so long to do this for her
Afternoon smoothie snacks - thank you Sharon for the Nutribullet!! We use it every single day, some days twice! Spinach, banana, frozen fruit yogurt and water is our favorite go to. But I have made different kinds also, using a great website I found online for recipes! We did make one with carrots a few days ago and both Q and I weren't huge fans haha. But we did another one with coconut milk and frozen pineapple - yum!
Jon texted at around 4 and said that Jacob and Alex were around and he wanted to invite them for dinner to talk to Jacob about some camp summer stuff. I took out extra turkey breast and had more than enough food and was happy to have them. Roasted veggies and rice to go with and we were all full and happy. They are easy company and so nice to have around. Q loves Jacob so much and is just attached to him when he's around. Cuties.
Q went to bed tonight like a dream - she  kicked us out right away and didn't stall at all because she wanted to listen to the new bedtime songs I put on the bear. Sweet! Easy for us haha. Im still feeling sluggish and know that I need an early bedtime if I want to fully kick this headache. Looking forward to starting fresh tomorrow! :)
