Leismeister Family Camping Trip

Last week Jon was running a camp called Expedition. It's new for this year, and he takes the campers out for a week long canoe trip. He was so stoked about it, since paddling is his happy place and his favorite thing to do. My family had their annual camping trip booked for that week, so rather than Q and I just hanging around on our own this week, I booked us flights to Alberta to join them! It had been YEARS since I've been to Cypress, and I was SO excited to go back!!! I grew up camping here for weeks every single summer. So many memories. These next two posts will be major spam of pictures!

Watching the Hillbilly Hustle - Cypress' own version of a triathlon!
Quinnly walking Meeka - all week she would say "Meeka! Meeka, come! Leash!" And hold the leash and want to walk her around
So happy to be together for a week!!
We had cake the first night to celebrate Brooke's, Grandpa and Qs birthdays! She ate her piece and went up to my Grandma and says "cake, moremore, me pease". And Grandma gave her another piece! RIGHT BEFORE BED! What the heck?! I quickly scooped half of the second piece out while she wasn't looking to avoid tears!
She refused to go to bed and just cried and cried so I gave up and let her stay up - 1130pm is when she finally fell asleep! But she enjoyed the fire with everyone
My girl Jenna came down for the weekend too! So nice to hang out!
Hiking!
It was supposed to be just a "walk" around the lake, so I took the stroller in hopes of Q napping while we walked. She did nap, until LeeAnne decided to turn and take us down a path - the path was downhill and roots everywhere!!! I threw Q in the Tula (awake now) and mom and Larry to the rescue lifting and carrying the stroller over the roots and uphill! So funny
Rayne has been a little mother hen towards Q since she's been born. It's so cute to see her so attentive and caring! She let Q do whatever she wanted and let her boss her around! Rayne is such a sweetheart.
The two littlest ones still walking hand in hand. Totally heart melting
And when they got tired, I pushed them both

"Swing pease! Moremore!" (She says more twice every single time) And mom and Larry swung her over and over as she giggled
Hunting for frogs along the way!

We FaceTimed with Jon on Monday and he was just totally in his element. Ignore my terrible face here, but look how beautiful it is there. This was their first stop and they slept on this beach
Everyone saying hi!
We went down to mini golf that night and all the kids biked and we walked. Soon we heard a honk behind us, and we saw this sight. My grandma driving and laughing her head off while grandpa was on his bike in the truck bed. As they passed he yelled that he changed his mind and wanted to "bike" down. What a goofball! Totally hilarious
Q is out like a light here. Totally zonked. It's hard to mini golf with 30lbs on your back!
Tired girl!!!
More pictures from Jon. So gorgeous. Hard to be apart, but it makes it so much easier when we are both apart doing things that are good for our souls.
Sibling bonding time
I put Q back in the Tula and walked around the campground trying to get her to sleep and all the cousins came with. It was pretty hilarious, walking around at 1030pm with our little gang. Also, Q thought it was awesome and didn't fall asleep. Another 1130 night!!
Tuesday morning we all went golfing. I haven't golfed in a LONG time and I wasn't sure how I would do with my back (or my skill level!). But I did okay! No pain, and I was able to keep up! My family loves golfing, and it's something I used to do all the time before moving to the island. Jon and I need to golf more together!

My golf partner. We shared a cart and clubs. When I was little, Auntie Lauren was my hero. It's funny to see now that we are older and the age gap doesn't seem to far (9 years), she's still someone I look up to and respect so much. She's just cool. I want to be like her!
Our crazy daughters hanging out with us in our cart!
9th hole picture! Grandpa and the Schmidts missed out because they were behind us. Love these people. Look at Jace's face. Priceless!
Brooke took these of Q, who was just standing there looking around, drinking her juice box
What a cutie!!! One of my favorite pics of her recently. She's such a big girl!!! (She also now asks me every day since this trip "apple juice mommy, pease?"... Gotta break this juice habit!!)
I don't know what they were doing here, but by the looks of it, they were having a good time! These two spent a lot of the week together and Q can now say "grandma" clear as day
Playing catch phrase! My love for games comes naturally - my whole family was into it!
Grandpas setup- he would do the BBQibg so he sat up his chair and newspaper back there and got quiet time
When our dinner would take too long to cook, she would wander over to the Schmidts trailer and convince them to feed her

Park fun!

Ice cream stop!

I took this off Brooke's Instagram because it was just so cute. Both these little ones would want to sit on her la and she would let them happily!
Beach day!
Catching frogs!
Cousins out on the floated. They took Q out with them and let swim around and come on the floated when she wanted up
Suntanning and watching them swim
She conked out for a while and we parked her in her stroller
She didn't nap for long and woke up grumpy so when we got back to the trailer I laid her in the big bed and put a short movie on for her so she could rest and have quiet time. When I went back a while later to check on her, she was giggling and being goofy, so I knew she was much happier and ready to join us outside again!
Silly times with Great Grandpa Larry! It warms my heart to see her bonding with my grandpa, who I adore so much.
Jon sent this from their trip - him and Dave found a swing and were being goofy. It's so good to see him having fun and really loving what he is doing
Alexis :)
This was the best night. We went down to the lake and played down there. Mom and grandma played tether ball, it was pretty funny to watch. Grandma cheated
Then mom challenged me, and I kicked her bum!
Everyone else played beach volleyball
Mom and I took on grandma and grandpa in horseshoes. I laughed he whole time because my grandpa kept telling me silly jokes
She so badly wanted to ride Rayne's bike
So I pushed her around on it and she LOVED it!
Playing pat-a-cake over and over. She loves this game, and will sing along and yell "rooooolllllllll it" when it comes to that part haha
This is how we roll. In the back of the truck with all the bikes and the dog
And all the cousins piled in our car, the three in the back in the trunk. It's like we are living in the 70's again haha
Bedtime was such a fight with her this week. I had to lay with her every single night until she was sleeping. It would take 45 five minutes or so. It made me appreciate what a good sleeper she is normally. But after being so frustrated with her, she would fall asleep, and I would be struck with how small and precious she still is. She's a really beautiful baby
LeeAnne and her fur baby :)
