Last weekend we went to Nanaimo on Saturday evening for a "engagement party" for Madi and AJ. Jon, Jacob and I had been speculating all week if it was going to be more than a wedding, because we heard that her parents here in town, but that them being here was top secret! We picked up Charlotte on our way and we quizzed her - she was quite certain that there was no wedding about to happen. Very mysterious!
As we were getting ready to go, I curled my hair for the first time in probably a year, and Q wanted to do her hair too. She went to her kitchen and grabbed her play tongs and would grab her hair with them and wrap it around, just like I was doing with the straightener. What a smartie pants!
And then she would pretend to spray her hair with the hair spray. So cute!

We told Quinny that we were going to a party for Madi, and she was VERY excited! I tried to put her in a cute shirt and leggings, since it was outside and it was chilly in the evening but she was NOT having any of that! She wanted to wear a "party dress" and was very adamant! It was the first time I have ever seen her really get worked up over wanting to wear a dress. So into a fancy dress she went! She did look pretty darn cute

After we had been there a while and had all eaten, they gathered us over and AJ started talking and Madi had disappeared and it was very apparent that a wedding was about to start!!! Charlotte was going crazy! So much fun!!!

And here we go!!!! Madi walked down the aisle, looking vintage and amazing as only she can!! They each called up their groomsmen/bridesmaids and it was so fun!! Charlotte was just beside herself as MOH, wearing her Hunter Boots! The ceremony was completely beautiful. Their vows made me cry, they were so unique and special.
They played two worship songs, and it was very intimate and touching. I got this pic of our Wildside boys together, worshipping. I love that Madi has such a huge heart that inviting past campers who she is close to is important to her. She is such a gem, and one of a kind.

Vanessa danced the night away with Quinnybear! They were loving each other and very attached!

Lisa was emotional and the expression on her face just got me! We were all so touched by the surprise moment, and it showed! Except Brad, he was just silly as always haha.
It was such a fun night!!! We left at 930 because it was cold and we really needed to get Quinny into bed! But apparently there was speeches at the end of the night and everything! Daniel and Marika stayed at our house, so we hid a key for them and they just let themselves in. They didn't get home until 1! Must have been a fun party! So happy for these two lovebirds. Their love is so evident and their hearts are so on fire. Its exciting to watch. I look forward to watching them grow together!!
