Sunday Monday Fun

When I get to my make-up desk last weekend Sunday to get ready for church, and this is what I found on my chair. When I asked Q what her babies were doing, she told me they were "cuddling". I asked if I could move them, and she says "yep! Playtime now!" and takes them into the living room. What a girl!
Talking with my mom on our usual Sunday FaceTime date. She is so funny. She was telling me a hilarious story about work. I love hearing her laugh and be light. I have such a great momma.
While I talked with her, Jon took Quinny swimming. I was feeling super tired so I stayed home, but they had a great time. When they got back and I asked her if she had fun she says "YES! HOT TUB FUN!" Which made me laugh... this girl loves the hot tub!
That night was the lunar eclipse so Jon took her (and me) outside to teach her (and me) about the moon. The information that this guy has packed away in his brain always astonishes me. So smart.
I knew last week that a job I really needed to get to was going through all Quinnlyn's clothes in her drawers and closet. She is growing so quickly and things are getting too small once again! Seems like we were just putting her in size 2T and now she can fit in a 3T on top. She is so long and taller than most kids her age. Funny how she went from being the smallest to being the tallest. I'm sure this cycle will continue as these kids grow, all at different rates! So while I did that, I needed her to be distracted! I hate using TV as a "babysitter" but she didn't want to play with her toys and was just being whiney. So I decided to throw every single stuffed animal that she owns into the bath tub, along with her pillows and a few blankets and her favorite babies. Then I tossed her in. She thought this was totally hilarious. I also took my laptop in there and put music on for her to dance and sing to as she played. Success! She was entertained for quite a while and I got lots of work done!
At one point she starts yelling "MOM! MAMA! COME!"  So I went to check on her and she smiles at me and says "mo-more books pease" So I went and grabbed her some books and she made a little nest and read to her animals and babies. Funny girl
I had the idea that day to make her a "Quiet Book"... but I don't sew, which is how you make these books. I came up with a different plan and made a list of what we would need! When Jon got home from work we all went into town and went shopping... they stopped at Starbucks while I went to the Dollar Store. She calls her drinks her drink "my coffee too" which is so funny. And she will take a sip and say "Yum! Coffee!" even though its really only warmed up milk with sugar free vanilla haha! She loves her "Star-uck teats" as she calls it!
Lynn Guengerich gave us this awesome little table that we have used SO much already in the short time we have had it set up! Q calls it the "baby table" and she likes to eat at it and do crafts. Its perfect for that little space and she fits great at it. Glad we have friends who think of us when they have sweet hand me downs!

Tuesday morning last week started with Jon going to Ladysmith to get us Cinnamon Buns! YAY! Best cinnamon buns around!!! What a great start to the morning
I headed off to work, and these two got to hang out together. He sent me this while I was at work, because he was so proud of it! He got her hair into a pony tail and it looked adorable. Good work Dad!
He was working and she was playing - he was finding new songs to download for our youth group playlist and was watching music videos and she wandered over. He says she climbed on the chair, then on the table, and then up onto him and swung her leg around his neck and got up there! haha!
Dinner that night was spaghetti - Q's favorite! Notice how Elsa and Anna are also joining us at the table, with their own plates of food. Every meal she set them up, usually with cutlery and cups as well
Page one of the Quiet Book - the car comes out of the garage and she can "drive" it around on the roads. The signs are all on velcro so they can come off and stick back on. Its all felt and hot glue. We will see how it turns out!
