Cowichan Exhibition

We spent the rest of the week with them shopping, hanging out at home, walking around, and being fairly low key. We hit up the Cowichan Exhibition on their last full day. At home, the Medicine Hat Stampede is a huge deal, and it's a week long event with a parade, night shows, magicians, a rodeo, concerts... so much going on! And rides and games of course! The exhibitions they have out here are so much smaller and tamer compared to that. But I still think they are fun and wanted to go :)

The look on her face here kills me! She is going nuts over the chickens. This girl and her love for chickens is just so funny!

A cute little kids maze that she ran through a few times

I mostly love the food the the exhibition - mini donuts and sno-cones and candy apples... yum!! So I happily ate my snacks while Q went on all the rides! She went nuts for the rides. Grandpa Chuck bought her a wrist band so that she could go on as many as she wanted, and she sure got her money's worth out of it! She went on every single ride tons of times, and by the end was trying to convince us to let her go on the Zipper (it flips upside down and spins, and is for big people... not a chance!). I remember being totally thrilled by the rides too growing up. Jon on the other hand was getting queasy just watching her. Funny!
We met Andrew and Mary there and Ady did a few rides with Q too. They wanted to go on the merry go round, but they needed an adult because it does go quite fast. So Andrew hopping on and stood between the two girls, and they loved it

I was so proud of Ady, going on the rides by herself! She was so cute and seemed to like them too! I love that the girls have each other to do these fun things with
She would wave at us overtime she went by, and we would cheer back... typical crazy parents haha!
Even being way up there didn't phase her, she just loved it. Last year I had to go on a few rides with her... this year she didn't want us to come at all and just kept saying "I'm such a big kid mama! I can do it on my own" and would get in line and wait her turn. This one though they needed an adult to go with, so Andrew jumped in and the three of them went together

Its blurry, but that smile! This one went pretty fast... Ady was done on rides after this, because it was a lot. But Q was so into it this year. It made me a little nervous! haha
Jon and I had a youth leaders meeting that evening - I know, who schedules a meeting for 8pm on a Friday?! The Loewens have taken over for this year until the church hires someone else, but Jon and I have both committed as leaders for the year. We are excited to start another year with our students but a bit nervous about what the transition will look like. Anyways, so we had to go, and Q was NOT ready to leave and kept asking if she could stay "Please just a little longer! I want to stay and not go home! I'm not even tired a little bit!". So Dad and Raquel kept her there after strict instructions from me to keep her within arms reach at all time! Big crowds like that totally freak me out. They went over and played a bunch of games and sent us pictures of the fun they were having!

She came home with this giant hammer as well a few stuffed animals that she "won". She was so jazzed up when we all got home around 10! So fun. Thank you Dad and Raquel for the fun day!

Apparently right before this picture, Q was calling for Raquel to come in with her (its the house of mirrors and adults aren't supposed to go in). Raquel called her to come to her instead (they could see her) and Q just started running towards them and WACK! Ran right into a mirror and stunned herself. They felt bad because they were laughing at her since it was pretty funny, but she did have a little bruise from it. They said she laughed if off pretty quick too and was back up in a minute. I wish I could have seen that! haha
A goofy pic of Adalee from earlier. She is SO SO cute. We love her and her silly sense of humor!
My Dad and Raquel left early the next morning and Q was pretty sad. They had a good week together bonding and doing fun things. I had fun too - it felt like a turning point. We were glad they came to visit!
