Done! Summer Is Wrapping Up...

Done! Wildside is over! We left that evening to head home for the first time in 3 full weeks! We decided to celebrate the end of a successful season by getting sushi! This girl was being SO funny while we ate. Such a goofball!

We were all excited to be done and heading home!

As soon as we got home, we carried stuff inside, and Quinnlyn immediately went over to her kitchen and started "cooking" things. She says "oh my kitchen! I missed you! I am going to make muffins that are SO GOOD". Cute

The next morning we went into Chemainus and met Mary and Ady for brunch! Best way to spend our first morning back home!

Look at Quinny's crazy eyes, and how Ady is just busting a gut laughing at her. This is so typical of these two! Q is the silly one, doing whatever she can to get a laugh, and Ady just loves it and always laughs at her. They are a good pair!!

That afternoon she pulled out all her new craft stuff from Auntie Hanna and started making "something special", as she said. She made cards for both Brandon and Shelby, which I thought was adorable! I love that she thinks of them often and loves them so much even though they are far away!

Shayna had a birthday! 28! This is the picture I posted that day because it was from when we were 18 - ten years we've been friends!!! Time flies. I'm grateful for the life of my best friend and the huge role she plays in my life

Yes, we are alike

This was on my memories page - six years ago, summer of 2010. I'm reading a book as Marika naps and Jon is swimming and pushing our floaties around! haha!! What an amazing husband he is. Truly the best. This made me laugh, because what luxury! To take a break from the day and relax together - we had no idea what was ahead! haha! And it also made me smile because this is just so Jon - selfless and doing whatever he can to make me happy. He's the best.

These guys watch So You Think You Can Dance every week, and Quinny loves when we are down there and she can watch with them! We came down to spend two nights with the Lampards before fall starts and time runs away!

He came down to join us for his day off and we snuck away to go out for dinner together! We hadn't really celebrated our anniversary at all. We were hoping to get away for a weekend this fall, but it's too hard babysitter wise. But we were excited to at least get out and spend a few hours together. I could sit and talk to this man all night long. Crazy how we never run out of things to say, and it never gets old.

We stumbled upon a different one and decided to try it - we got our treats to go and drove up to have this view as we enjoyed the homemade ice cream sandwiches

The first one was so disappointing - it was SO SPICY! Spicy and ice cream do NOT mix!!! Yuck! Thankfully the second one was better. I take my ice cream very seriously! haha!

Back at work - no idea what they were doing, but it made me laugh because they were clearly having fun! What dorks :)
