We packed a lot into Spring Break! Jon was still working of course (he actually was re-certing his OFA3 for one full week), but I had some time off from my jobs, which was nice! Too bad the weather was so terrible.... I am so tired of the gloomy clouds!
"Mama put my hair in a bun up high like Auntie Mimi does" "Okay that is perfect, thanks! Now take my picture and send it to her because she will want to see me and my bun". Auntie Mimi did love the bun and was quite proud, but jealous of the amount of hair that this kid has haha (aren't we all?! SO thick!)
Cinnamon bun date at the bakery in Ladysmith! Jon was there too, he took the pic ha! And yep, she ordered an entire cinnamon bun for herself (and ate half... more than I thought she would!) These are the best treats around.I had to work one more shift at the Youth Center, so these two hit the beach! With winter jackets on, because it was sunny but chilly!
Uncle Nate came for dinner one evening! This picture cracks me up because of how they are both looking at each other. Too cute!!
Jon needed to go to Home Hardware to get some more stuff for the office reno, and it was kid craft day again! So while he shopped around, her and I built a bird rain gauge! Well I built it. She didn't want to do any of that work haha. But she painted the whole thing by herself, and it looks beautiful. She takes her time, painting so carefully and making sure everything is "just right".
Finished product! Pretty cute! I love this program there
Dentist time! I know most people have a hate on for the Dentist, but I really don't mind going. I like the feeling of clean teeth afterwards! And it helps that I have only had like two fillings in my entire life. So I try hard to make the dentist an enjoyable and positive thing for her as well. She listened so well and said she liked it. The dentist told us that her mouth is very clean, and there was no sugar bugs! Way to go with the brushing Quinny! (she loves brushing her teeth... wonder where that came from...)
Auntie Hanna came up to sleepover because I had to work the next day (I had the last two weeks of the month off from the admin job) and Jon was in his course all day. We are very lucky that she was able to come and hang out with Q for a whole day!
Fun with Rylee!
Thank you Hanna! We really appreciate the help! We don't often need it, but its so nice to have you so willing to help when we do! They had a really fun day together... Hanna said to Jon when he got home "she is actually pretty funny"... I love that! She is, but you don't see that side of her unless you have her one on one because she changes a bit when there's a group. I am thankful they were able to spend time together! The next day we went for a hike with Mary and the girls! Quinny of course brought her baby carrier with Lambie stuffed in there. Geez these girls are cute! They ran the whole way and did awesome!
She asked for pizza for dinner, so we decided to have a family movie night and make pizza. We got all set up in the living room, and this made me laugh... her babies needed to see the tv too and be a part of it. We love this high chair, and it gets a lot of use. We miss you Uncle Ian but think of you often with these beautiful gifts you made this girl.
It was a gross morning and we needed to get out, so I asked her what she wanted to do and she said "go on a coffee date with you Mama". So we headed to Chemainus and had coffee/hot chocolate and a scone together. She saw me take my phone out to take a picture, so this is the face she made. What a crazy head haha. We giggled lots together, and had a great morning on our coffee date. I love this time with her so much.
She recently has started playing with the neighbor kids, which is so cool! Abby and Cooper live across the street, and they are in Kindergarten and Grade 2, so quite a bit bigger than her, and they are soooo good with her! Abby especially, you can see that she is a very sweet kid. Q's jeep is the hit of the neighborhood, and she doesn't bat an eye at sharing it, she loves letting other people drive it.We had another fertility appointment, hoping to do an iui in March, so Care was off and said she would watch Q for us, which was so nice of her! We dropped Q off, and they went to the mall to get some things that Care needed. These two cousins are so awesome.
Getting some makeup put on at Sephora like regular big kids!
When I picked her up, she went on and on about her "lip make-up"and how pretty she thinks the color is. She really loves girly things like this! Growing way too fast.
Camp night that night! Jon and Chris killing it on stage together, as usual! (do you see Quinny in the pink shirt, right in there?)
oh Brad and Lisa, you are so good to her, and she adores you.
After the event, we went to Red Robin's with some of our favorites from camp. This girl ordered noodles and ate them at TEN pm at night! Look at those tired eyes... but she was happy and stoked to be at Red Robin's when it was so late!"Mom I am so hungry for dinner!"... umm you ate dinner 5 hours ago kid! haha! But she did awesome. The next day was a bit rough however, with her going to bed at midnight. But we had fun!
Brunch at Aimee and Calea's the next morning. All the girls reading books
We got a new, cozy, shag rug for our living room. Love it!
I love all the accessories that she picks out and puts on. Too cute!
We went for another hike with a bunch of moms and all the kids. It was really fun! The kids all ran the whole way and pooped themselves out, and we were able to chat a bit. Love mornings like this
No idea what these two are talking about, but I love that they are never far from the other.
And a starbucks date with my favorite girl. She orders a cake pop and an ice water, and I love that she thinks ice water from there is a treat. She will say "Can't forget my special water! I love this ice water!". Quinnybear, you are awesome. Even when your three year old sass takes over. Your smile makes me happy.
