Canada Day and Company Arrives!

Chemainus put on a Canada day event - we went last year and it was SO busy and too many people. But it did sound fun, so we decided to try it out again, and I am so glad we did! The weather wasn't super hot, so that kept a lot of people away. It was busy and full, but not an overwhelming amount of people. The girls had a ton of fun walking around and playing together
Facepainting! She wanted to look like a puppy
Pony rides! She was VERY giddy about this

Ady was not loving the petting farm, but she went with Quinny to see the baby goats and clapped while Q pet them. Quinny the little animal lover was totally in her element. So cute!

We sat and listened to this fun local band play for a while and they invited kids up on the stage. It took both of them a while before they worked up the courage to go, but  after a few songs, they went up together and danced away. So cute!

Oh boy, do I ever love being this girl's Mama, even when she's using me as jungle gym to climb all over!
I sent them some pictures from our day, so they sent this one back - real exciting guys LOL! Miss you both!!!

The next evening, my Auntie LeeAnne, Brooke, Alexis and my mom showed up for a week! LeeAnne came with her own cooler full of food that she had pre-cooked, so she had empty containers from the food they ate during the drive, and she right away started filling my sink and doing dishes. We often bug her about having OCD, so it made me laugh that less than 5 minutes being there, she was cleaning.
The next morning we packed a lunch, and headed for Shawnigan to walk the Kinsol Trestle and have our first adventure! My mom loves carrying Q in the Tula when we are together
SO SO SO glad to have them here!!!

Headed to Chemainus that evening and got ice cream and walked on the beach

Opps, out of order! More Trestle pics! - can you spot the toddler's arm and legs? haha!

Beauties! Quinny LOVES Brooke and Alexis so much, and they love her! She rarely leaves their sides. She often asks Brooke to carry her, and Brooke does.

So gorgeous there! We had a lot of fun walking around (in our flip flops.. opps! Should have worn real shoes)

Back to the ice cream! Little did we know that this would be the first of MANY ice creams in the next two weeks!
Jon joined us after work! These two are so cute
Alexis found a cool swing on the beach

"Lexis, you hold my hand?" "Of course I will Quinny"... so very sweet
Swing pushes!
Sitting around the fire playing catch phrase! So much fun. I have the best family! - you will also see Jacob in this pic, because he moved in the same day! He is staying at our house for the summer while he's waiting to hear from the military. Love having him around!
