We came down to Vic and when Quinny saw her grandparents on Saturday morning, she was SO excited! She loved all the chicken videos and the beach pictures, but she really missed them (and so did we!). Their yard and plants needed to be tended to after their time away, and she was right in there wanting to help water the flowers
She was VERY excited to see her cousins also! They went downstairs and played in the playroom - such a great space for these guys!! Good thinking on their Nannie and Papa's part. The new room looks so great! The girls played great all day
Later in the afternoon we headed to Calea and Aimee's house for a surprise party for Care. Luke wanted to do something for Care but was too busy to really make it happen so the sisters extraordinaire stepped in and planned it! They are living in the cutest house with the best deck. I like hanging out there
Care was so surprised when they got there, and she seemed really happy that everyone was there. It was really lovely to see her so joyful!! I went outside at one point and Quinny was out there spinning in circles and dancing all by herself, free as a bird haha
Quinny had a bit of a hard night. Luke and Care's friends were there with their kids, and so all the kids were friends and knew each other except Quinnlyn. She wanted Madi all to herself and was pretty sad when that didn't happen. I talked to her about playing with everyone, hard lessons to learn when you are 2! She bounced back and was playing good and sharing Madi but by then the other kids were annoyed with her and Madi and her good little buddy kept running away from her and locking her out of the room. It's hard as a parent to know when to step in and when to let them work it out themselves! Luckily Makenna is perceptive and so very sweet, so she saw what was happening and asked me if she could take Quinny to KK's room to color with her. The two of them laid like this for a long time and chatted together and colored. What an amazing big cousin!!!! No wonder Q looks up to her so much! Also, are they not just the cutest in their matching Easter dresses from Tim and Lois?!

Matching Easter dresses! THEY ARE SO CUTE!!! We took a few but this was my favorite - I love how Q is leaning into Makenna here. So much love.
Jon spent the evening at the BBQ cooking all the kabobs for everyone. I love how when someone asks him for help, he does it without second thought and is happy to help out. Such a servant heart.
