Workouts and Hopscotch

On Thursday Q and I had eye appointments - finally going to get more contacts! This is the longest I have ever gone without wearing contacts. My glasses are driving me insane!!! Mom and Jon went for a walk down to the water in Chemainus while we were there. I love that they can spend one on one time together and both enjoy it. They had a really good, deep talk and Jon is such a good listener and gives excellent advice. He is actually the best person to talk stuff out with because he listens so well, and is attentive enough to ask the right questions and is gentle. The appointment ran late and we were all starving so we tried out the new sushi place in Chemainus down by the ferry. It was pretty good!  This picture make me laugh - not a great picture, but look at Q's smile. She is such a ham!
Such beauties!!! Q ate almost an entire California roll. She always amazes me with her eating!!

I had to work that afternoon so I left them for a few hours and they hit up the park in Crofton. Mom just gets right in there and plays and runs around. She's a perfect park partner for Quinny. These are the pics they sent me while I was stuck at the youth center!

They bug and tease each other, but I have seen negative relationships that people have with in-laws and I am SO grateful that these two have an excellent relationship. They respect each other and get along really well. We both definately lucked out in the in-law department!!
One thing I love so much about mom being here (besides the fact that she buys groceries, cooks, does dishes, watches Q, and listens to me cry about the things that are hard in life right now) is that she loves playing games. Of course she does, she's my mom! Brandon and I had to have learned it somewhere! She loves when we teach her new games and thats how we spend most evenings. I love it!!
Mom did gymnastics with this little monkey Friday morning. She said it was fun to do it with her and see how much Q loves it. Cute! Then I had to drive Jon to the ferry (headed to Seattle for the weekend for an outdoor adventure training weekend) so mom fed Q lunch and they were being so silly
Baby Norah! Thanks Shayn for the this little gem! I love seeing pics of her, I miss her so much!!! (she's wearing a dress here that Q also owned as a baby... man time flies!!!)
Riding her bike in the afternoon! Mom and I did the workout that day and then went outside to enjoy the sun. She is getting so good on her bike! She will be riding that thing no problem all around camp this summer. Can't wait until we move up to Wildside for the season!!!
I had High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) day left for the week. I was avoiding this one and putting it off because I knew it would be hard. But after dinner I put my shoes back on and got it done. It was super hard and I wanted to quit and I was pretty proud of myself that I kept going. Mom and Quinny came outside too and played hopscotch together while I did running intervals. Mind over matter.
The hopscotch that they made together. Seriously, they are just the best! So cute together! So much playtime when Grandma is here
Look how high she can jump! Impressive
That form! I'm so proud! I think this will be a game that we draw out many times this spring!
Last night here... mom was cuddling Henrik, he wouldn't leave her alone haha. It's always sad for me when Jon leaves, but it was nice to have a night with my mom to myself. We talked lots and had a really good time together. I have such a good mom. She loves us unconditionally and would do anything for any of us. She is also funny and makes us laugh. And I was so grateful for her help with food and exercise during my first week with HRM! Love you mom.
