Last weekend we had to take mom to the airport for 615am - yuck! With Jon in Seattle, I decided to take her to the airport in Nanaimo and then drive down to Vic to spend the day and night with the Lampards. We were sad to say good-bye to mom! But also looking forward to getting back into normal routine. We arrived in Vic around 8am and Lois was making cinnamon buns. Quinny got right in there and helped. She loves to help out. I did my best to resist the baking - I've been doing so well with my eating! But eventually I caved. And it was amazing
I made plans with Luke earlier in the week to take this beauty out shopping for her birthday. I don't ever get one on one time with her, so I was really looking forward to hanging out with her! She was so excited! She spent forever looking at all the different things that she likes and picking out exactly what she wanted. It's so fun to watch her, because she's at this age where she still likes the little kid stuff, but she also likes the big kid stuff and I can see her struggle with what she really wanted. Eventually she picked out some nail art stuff from Toys R Us with her gift card that she had, and then I bought her a purse and a few other things from Claire's. Love this girl so much!!!!
The brakes on my Kia broke (UGH!), so I was driving Jon's car. It was so dirty! The curse of a white car. I gave up pretty quick because the hose wasn't getting it off - it needed to be scrubbed. No thanks. I came back in and a few minutes later I saw Tim out there through the kitchen window. He had a glove on the other hand and was scrubbing it down for me! What an awesome dad he is.
Sleepover in Mommy's bed! Man she's cute.
Saw this and saved it because it really stood out to me with this HRM journey that I am on. I want to respect my body and am working very hard to make better and good choices.
Jon came home after lunch so we picked him up from the ferry and headed home! It was nice to go home to a empty and quiet house. We cleaned and then headed outside to work on the yard. We moved around the playset and pulled out the patio furniture and just got the yard ready for spring and summer! This girl loves her playset and is playing on it tons lately. She especially loves the chalk board so that she can color and write. I gave her a water bottle so that she could wipe it whenever she wanted
Hard to get a good pic, but we set up the firepit as well. I love that we are coming into the season where we can sit outside and eat and then at nighttime sit around the fire!!!
I am not a fan of the rock in our backyard, but the rocks are really deep and it would be a HUGE job to get rid of them all. It's one the list for us to do at some point in life when we have a decent chunk of time to spend on it (so... never? haha)
Flip flops, 'princess' dress, and bubbles. This girl is in her happy place
She kept blowing them at Henrik and trying to get him to pop them haha! When he wouldn't, she just ran around and popped them herself. It's times like these that watching her play makes me sad. She is having fun, but it would be so much more fun to have a sibling to run around with rather than playing alone. So many people that we know that have babies Q's age already have a second one and it's hard to not compare or feel sad. I love that you are so content to play by yourself my sweet girl. You rock and make me so grateful that I have you. On another note, I also took a hilarious video of her laying on the grass singing LOUDLY Let It Go to Henrik, right in his face, just staring at each other. When he had enough, he jumped up on the fence. So then I have another video of her standing at the fence looking at him singing the Cinderella song "clean the floor, wash the dishes" while waving her dress all around. So funny!! It was a really lovely Sunday at home
