Grandparents come to Town!

My Grandma and Grandpa booked flights to come out and visit us for a week! I love that I have grandparents who are able and willing to come and spend a week with us - it really is such a blessing.  They came in on Wednesday last week and when we got home, Grandma opened her suitcase and it was full of treasures for Q! Clothes from my mom, something from Shelby, and Grandma brought her these "no mess magic markers" and special colouring pages to go with it. She right away opened that and got Grandpa to color with her. These two took to each other immediately, and they are adorable together

On Thursday we did a big Walmart trip and Grandma bought us tons of groceries and things, and while we did that, Grandpa took Jon golfing. So spoiled we are! Grandpa also booked us tickets to the Chemainus dinner theatre for that night. We did this the last time they were here too and they loved it, this is totally their kind of thing. We really enjoy going to the theatre too, and getting to do the buffet dinner is such a special treat! So we all got dressed up and dropped Q off with Mary and off we went!

Seriously, how cute are my grandparents?! They are so awesome. We had a great time over a fancy kid free dinner, and the show was really good (it was Johnny Cash)

Quinybear discovered Ady's stash of tools while she was there that night and Mary sent them home with her to borrow for a while because she loved them so much. She has been hammering and screwing things non stop since bringing them home. Good thing it even came with safety googles...

Stole this off of Mary's instagram because it was so sweet. It makes my heart very happy to know that we have friends that love Q this much. 

They came with and watched Q during gymnastics and took some great videos of her doing it. It's awesome that both my mom r and now my grandparents have all seen her do gymnastics. She so rarely gets to have family see her do stuff, so when she does she shows off. She did everything she was supposed to and did it well, but was distracted the whole time, making sure they were watching haha. That evening we went down to the beach and Jon showed them how to look for crabs and they were amazed. It made me think of when I first moved here and how cool that was for me too. 

Nate stopped by for a few hours to visit us on his way down to Victoria also!

The white soft sandy beach here in town is awesome. Q loves to takes her shoes off and play in it. And the sunset on Friday night was so gorgeous!

Love having them here has just been so nice and easy. What a blessing, to have Grandparents who are eager to travel the distance and come spend quality time with us. Love them!

Another page in the Quinny sleeping adventures - laying on her crib mattress on the floor by our bed. It worked for most of the night, but she still ended up in our bed. She is such a sprawler and takes up so much room! haha :)
