Mom is visiting

Having my mom around for the week was nice. She is easy company, and cooks and cleans and hangs out with Quinny. Just getting started with the HRM program, it was good timing for her to be here. My biggest issue is food and I needed a reset with portion control and kicking sugar. She was a great cheerleader and pumped me full of information that will help me be successful over the next 12 weeks. On Tuesday right after breakfast we got on our shoes and went for a power walk across town and over the boardwalk. I know I've said it, and I will keep saying it - I love this boardwalk. It is so pretty and makes walking and exercising so much more motivating!

We went to Winners and I picked up the last few pieces of equipment that I needed, and a new workout outfit! Pants, tank top and sports bra! I had a gift card that I used up, and my mom helped out with the extra. She is the best. Working out is so much more fun when you have pants that are this sweet!
Watching them skip and run and have "races" up our hill made me laugh. That stretch is the worst - we live on such a big hill!! All of Crofton is hilly, and makes the walks quite the workout! But ours is the worst. So long and steep! So seeing them run up the last 50 steps made it so much more enjoyable. Q says "My legs so strong too!" You are right my sweet girl.
She will do anything if the reward is getting to play at the beach. She just loooves the beach. And this one is awesome because the sand is so soft and she can play barefoot.
Thankful for family who are encouraging and help me along in my journey!
One of the best parts of having Mom around is that she does meal prep and cooks and I don't have to think about it. And I know that everything she makes will be delicious and very healthy. See those little egg white muffin things? Awesome.
Yet another picture of Q sleeping because she just does the weirdest things in her sleep! If she's not hiding her head under the covers, she is sleeping on the floor, or in the funniest positions. For some reason she loves the mattress on the floor, so we do that for her. But here she is hanging half off. You may wonder why I didn't help her out and move her back onto her mattress... well I figured if she was uncomfortable enough she would move herself, and I was NOT about to risk waking her up
The next morning we went to Centennial Park In Duncan... so sunny out!

Practicing some of her gymnastics moves. She loves the monkey bars lately
Love my momma.
This crazy girl "got ready" to go and then calls out "okay Grandma I ready go outside now!" all while laughing her head off to herself. What a jokester

Package in the mail full of goodies! Taylor filled an easter basket and sent it to Q and there was some things for Jon and I too
Blowing her new bubbles. She is so crazy for bubbles! I love that we have a back step she can go out and play on
Afternoon workout done! Mom did it with me again and helped me out! It was a hard one - legs day! Q was right in there, doing lunges and her own version of squats
Love it! The phrase I keep repeating to myself when it gets hard is "strong mamas make for strong babies"... I want that. I want to be strong and healthy and I want her to be strong and healthy. And I want her to see me work hard and make good choices (the dot on her forehead is from a cut that she got from Calea's fingernail on the weekend that took forever to heal haha! All week long I kept wiping her face, thinking it was dirt)
And then family walk that evening. I am LOVING the warm spring weather! Q and Grandma were attached at the hip, never leaving each other's side. It's so cute to watch them together. So much love!

Jon got his birthday present from Mom - a new crockpot that is big! Our hold crockpot was SO small (I could barely make chili in it) and the lid was broken. And this one has the Canucks on it. Awesome!
