Coombs and Mini Golf

Monday morning we headed to Coombs to go to Goats on the Roof and walk around - I love going to Coombs. It's so cute and there is so much to look in the store!
I saw this chair and instantly was in love. I imagined myself at Wildside, sitting there reading a book in the afternoon while Q napped and campers were gone... ahh the bliss! Too bad it's not in the budget. But isn't it cute?!
Quinny kept trying to call the goats "Goats! Where are you? Come out now goats! Awww, the goats all gone!" Sadly they were no where to be found! But we still had fun looking at all the other stuff
These two hanging out together while Grandma and I went into the shops. They rarely left each other's side all week long!
Teaching Quinnybear how to drive

This cracked me up and I had to take a picture. Look at her hand, just walking around like such a big girl, with her purse and hat!

We hit up Subway for lunch in Parksville and then went mini golfing. I love mini golfing! It was fun to try and teach Quinny how to do it properly. She hit her ball at every single hole and listened so well!

She got the first hole in one! I was amazed! She was a little sad at first "awww guys my ball went right in the hole, I want hit it again!" until we started cheering and clapping and high fiveing her and she realized that it was a big deal!

At the waterfall, Grandpa tells Q its time to wash her club, because he just does silly things like that. So he picked her up and they washed her club and she thought that was hilarious. It then sprayed them both in the face, which was hilarious for Grandma and I

Super fun day together doing something that we all enjoyed!
This was my face that when I did the optional HIIT video that HRM gives us. WOW is it ever hard! Jon did it also and he said the same thing. But it didn't give me shin splints! I'm getting those from running for my HIIT... I have bad shoes! So this hard workout it is... I just remind myself that sweating hard and being shaky and tired is a good thing!
Big girl bed! The plans we had for the twin bed that we have been painting and getting ready we threw out the window for now. We had an extra double size mattress, and her crib/toddler bed turned into this double bed, so we decided to just do that. We were thinking originally that we were going to keep the crib and give Q a different bed just 'in case' we need it. But I have recently come to a place where I need to surrender my hopes for having another baby because it is affecting the choices I am making in my life right now. I need to make decisions based on my family right now, and not what 'might be' someday. So, Jon and Grandpa put together this bed for her and Grandma and I went shopping and I bought her new sheets, and gave her the blanket that I used all through college, and she loved it. She jumped right into her 'big bed' right away and snuggled under the covers! She saw the flat sheet and pillows and says "oooh mommy, I get cozy sheets like your bed and cozy pillow!" Her excitement was awesome!
I now need to re-do her wall and move around her pictures and whatnot, but the bed looks great!! It's such a pretty bedset! This is what I dreamed of for her when I picked out this crib/dresser set before she was born, and it's so cool to see it put together! Although I took this picture and cried... my baby is not a baby, she is growing so fast!!!
Owl's nest coffee date in Chemainus the next morning
Everywhere we went, she wanted to hold Grandpa's hand. He loved it
Searching the beach for sand dollars. They thought it was so neat and Grandma picked some shells. Kin really is the best, with the park and then this awesome beach. It was such a nice warm day outside! It was fun to show them what we do with our days, and why we love the ocean. My family often asks if we will ever come home, and I think moments like this makes it easier for them to understand why I say probably not. We love island life. And we love sharing it with our family when they come to visit!
