Monday Dinners and Working Out

Jon has decided to do my workouts with me, and its been awesome - this pic is from last week Monday. It's really fun to have a workout partner who I know won't judge me and who is so encouraging! New family fun activity
Thank you snapchat for this hilarious feature. Face swapping is what nightmares are made of
Love this girl and that huge silly grin of hers
Brad and Lisa have been coming for dinner every other Monday (or when we can make it work schedule wise, but at least twice a month), and Q LOVES it. This week she was sitting on the back of our couch eagerly waiting for them, saying "When is my Lisa (Ee-Saw) going to be here? Come on Lisa!" Too cute. They are such good buddies, and Lisa has so much love for Q. This is community, and I love it.
Going for an after dinner walk down to the beach. What a magical place we live in, where a walk down to the beach is no big deal. Island life is amazing. Here is Lisa holding Quinny's sand because Q wanted to build a sandcastle in her hand and she let her haha
Love this girl so much. We have walked through so many stages of her life together - high school graduation, university, dating, Auxano, marriage, parents moving... It really is such a priviledge for me that she lets me into her heart and her thoughts and is real with me and asks for my opinions and comes to me with questions and hard stuff (and funny stuff too) and that we have the relationship that we do. She is such a beautiful soul.
Brad was very emphatically telling Jon a story and it made me laugh watching. These dinners have really grown their relationship and its sweet to see the strong bond forming between them built on mutual respect
Anytime that Q seeks someone out to hold her hand, I know that she really adores that person. It makes my heart warm to watch them together
She says "Brad! You race me! Ready, GO!" and takes off and he just laughs and joins in and raced her all the way down the boardwalk. Too fun
Just sitting in her playhouse blowing bubbles by herself. She calls me through the open door "Hey mama! Come see me!" and I come outside and she blows bubbles at me and starts giggling
Garbage day! Hanging out in my room while I put clothes away and we heard the truck and she scrambled to stand up and look over the headboard to see it. What excitement! haha (also note the jeans.. they are SO cute, Ellen sent them to her from England. They are baggy and have patches and are just so cute. But when I put them on her, oh man she was mad! She kept saying "These pants NOT FIT ME! Too tight! Mama they are TOO TIGHT!" (they aren't! she has tons of room). She just totally prefers her leggings, more comfy I guess? Fair enough, I hate wearing jeans too. I did finally convince her that the pants look great and aren't too tight, and she kept them on, but wasn't super thrilled about it
More snapchat face swapping. Oh my, so funny and terrifying. My family needs to keep their own faces...

Family workout time! She wants to put workout clothes on like I do, and she gets right in there! It's so impressive! She will get tired and sit down, but mostly she does her own version of each super set. I love it. Strong parents, strong babies. That is the goal. She thinks working out is so fun, and she knows we do it to "be healthy" and that is awesome.
We all used the same step for one of the moves and it actually worked! We just go on opposite sides and do opposite legs and Q just fits in where she can. It makes me laugh which makes the burning feeling seem worth it!
Butterflies... funniest workout move I have ever done. Watching them do it just kills me. And it may be funny, but it sure is effective! It KILLS the legs! Q calls it "the baby butterfly time workout"
Both of us sweaty and tired afterwards! But happy and proud that we did it! As I watched her run around and do the workouts with us, it gave me a huge boost in motivation, wanting to work harder and keep going, because I want to keep working out with my kid. I want exercise and a healthy lifestyle to be something we bond over and something we enjoy doing together.
