Disney On Ice

We did the IUI on Tuesday as planned, and it all went without a hitch, and now we wait. We zoomed back home in order to drop Quinny off, and get to youth group. It was "pizza and games" night, which meant a lot of chatting with students and catching up on their lives. I was playing cheat for a little while with this crew. Love them.
Cuddles with Dani

Progress!! Look at them, both sitting on the couch, cuddling with me on my blanket. Henrik has his back to Dani, totally ignoring her, but at least there's no hissing! They are so cute. I love my kittens
Imadene Staff Christmas Party at the Rentons - we were playing this funny unwrapping game with oven mitts on. Nice to laugh together as a group. I didn't take any other pics, but we had a lovely turkey dinner and the usual gift exchange. JL worked so hard and did a great job.
My Dad surprised us with tickets to Disney on Ice. He asked us to make sure we could go before he bought them, but it was such a lovely surprise! He said he wanted us to do something fun together after all the stress of the IUI and all the appointments. And he knew his granddaughter would love it and he likes to spoil her :) We got a SUPER cheap hotel room that I found online, that was only a 5 min walk to the Pacific Coliseum. We were heading to Grand Forks on Friday morning as it was, so this worked out perfect (we went to the Thursday night show). Tim made a comment to Jon about how we travel too much, and that got me thinking... we are super busy and on the go and sometimes I wonder if that is not a good thing? But really, I think most of the travelling we do is just to Victoria! We don't often leave, and I haven't seen Shayna since January, so we were very much looking forward to going. And to be gifted these tickets... it was awesome. This is when life with just 1 is the absolute best because we can do these things and its easy and hassle free, because she travels great and she's at a fantastic age to do thing. I want us to do as much as we can within our means while we are able to do it! I had cash from selling a few things this past week, so we hit up the lunch buffet on the way over! (Quinny is still free on the buffet, so its actually cheaper for us to do the buffet rather than the Whitespot! And way better food). Quinnybear ate 3 plates of garlic shrimp and dessert... a few hours later, she was telling us that her stomach really hurt and she thought she was going to puke... I guess all that shrimp wasn't the best idea! Live and learn!
Stopped at the hotel to drop the bags and get this one into her Elsa dress! She was SO pumped about it!
I packed umbrellas as a last minute addition, and we were so glad we had them! It was pouring rain on our walk there! Good thing it was so close!
We were a bit early and had to wait with the crowds until the door opened... we were at the front and undercover though. She was freezing, but giddy with excitement!
There's that look of hers again haha! Even Jon was a bit excited... these shows are pretty good and the skaters are super talented, so its entertaining to watch

Trying to decide what to get - Grandpa Neil sent a bit of money along also so that Quinny could get something special. So much to choose from!
Not shocking in the least, she went with the Arial stuffed doll. She's been carrying that doll around everywhere ever since!
I also let her get a snowcone as her treat... it comes in a hard plastic cup that she can take home. She uses her Elsa one like it from last year all the time. Yum!
Ready for the show to start!!
This year, it was a combination of Disney and Disney Pixar. So the story revolved around Toy Story, Little Mermaid, Cars, and Frozen. Quinny said she liked the princesses best and wanted The Little Mermaid to last longer. But she was engrossed in the entire show and loved it.
Little dancing Queen! She stood up during the songs and danced along - so cute. It was a really fun night together. AND we got to sleep in a hotel - something that both Quinny and I love!
