Halloween this year was on a Monday, so the Saturday beforehand Chemainus had their annual Halloween event downtown. It was pretty rainy and this mama forget to sign up for the candy trolley ride ahead of time (opps!!), so there unfortunately wasn't a whole lot do to. But she still got to get all dressed up, and walked around to the businesses and went trick or treating. So all in all it was still a success. And she looked adorable as Cinderella
The hair-do that I gave her. It was fun to do her hair all fancy! It's easy since her hair is so curly so there's no curling to do ahead of time. Just bobby pin it into place. She sat so still while I was doing it, so excited to get her hair done "like a princess" as she called it
We had invited Tim and Lois to come up for a few hours and go with us. So they walked around with us, and then took us for lunch to the Sawmill. It is so awesome that Chemainus now has a really great Taphouse.
Breakfast with Elsa and Sofia (I accidently cut Sofia out so you can't se here, but she is across from Q). She set up their breakfast as we made hers. Love it
The Eassons invited us over for pumpkin carving on Sunday after church, so off we went!
Adalee is such a cutie. Seriously, she melts my heart. I love her. Her and Quinny had fun doing their part and then bossing Mary and I around to do exactly what they wanted us to do to the pumpkins haha. It was a lot of fun
We headed to Nanaimo that afternoon to do some Christmas shopping and then over to Samarah's house to have dinner with her and Chris. It was nice to see their house and catch up!
Our finished products! Jon did the Q, I did the Lampard, and Q made us both do the crowns on our pumpkins so that they were princess pumpkins haha
Lisa sent this to me on Monday of Halloween, saying that Jon must have dressed up as the Wildside Director that day haha! Hat, laptop, water bottle... he is well representing WS!
All dressed up again and ready to go trick or treating!
I wanted her to be an octopus this year... she did not want that. She just wanted to be a princess. So a princess she was.
Classic. No more pictures, no more smiling, just silly faces haha
Her sad face when we told her she couldn't trick or treat just yet, because we were driving to Chemainus so she could go around with Ady
I didn't get a picture of the girls together because Ady didn't last long haha! We kept going with Q and went around the block. I was pretty proud of her for knocking by herself and saying trick or treat (but thats all she would say, if they asked her any questions, she just stared at them and backed away slowly haha)
I love that we do these sorts of things together. Love my family.
Afterwards we headed back to the Easson's for a bonfire. Linda loves the little ones and is so good to them. These two were talking together and Q was telling her all sorts of stories and then said she was cold, so Linda asked if she could pick her up. I love our community.
This face. It's the one she's giving a lot lately when we pull our the phone to take a picture haha. This was at the end of the night, back at our house, ready to get into bed after a fun night!
Love you kiddo. Thanks for making the day so fun.
