Mix Match of Daily Life Things

In the package from my mom was new princess undies for this kid. I washed them and she puts on a pair and says "Mom! These new undies are so good! They don't give me hungry bum like all my old ones do!" I laughed so hard at that, and I felt so bad! I'm sorry kid that your undies were all giving you wedgies, I guess I should be on top of that haha. She wanted me to take a picture of her in them and send it to Grandma, so that is what we did!
This is life every single day when I try to get ready. She has her own makeup desk that she will sit at and get ready, but pretty quick;y comes over to my chair and wants to sit in front of me and get ready with me. She mimics what I do. I can't get annoyed that she is taking up all the space because it is just so cute, and I know these moments are fleeting. These moments are the ones where I can be grateful for the time that her and I have had together, just the two of us without another sibling to divide my attention between. I can see our bond, strong and unique and be thankful for it. So, I let her climb up even though it makes getting ready quite difficult, and let her copy me and can feel my hurting heart heal a little bit.

I can't remember when we were doing here, but our tongues look so gross haha! And her crazy eyes here are awesome!
We invited Calea and Aimee up for the day to come hang out and have dinner with us and watch the hockey game that night. Neither of them could come, so we invited Tim and Lois. They were able to come, and it turned out that they brought Calea and Aimee with them! Quinny helped me make chili in the Canucks crockpot and wearing her shirt - we are game day ready haha!
Quinny was being SO silly and wiggly and wouldn't sit nice for a picture and was just making faces and putting her foot in the air. They made her laugh and we finally got a good one. Love this picture of these beautiful women!
This picture totally cracked me up! Jon sitting too close to Aimee, her 'scowling' about it, and Calea just laughing at them all. Love it. So glad to have them in our home! It doesn't happen often enough with busy schedules! Except the funny thing that happened that night was that Q turned the heat in the living room really high (the thermostat for it is right above the couch and it usually lives at 10-15 and then we turn the fire on if its too cold - she cranked it to 30!). Tim said at one point that he was feeling warm and we figured it was just because we were all in the same living together. A while later, he said it again and once again we didn't really do anything. Finally, right before they were leaving, Aimee said it was really hot in here and went to stand outside, and we looked and saw what had happened.... yikes! Lois and I loved it so warm in there and didn't really notice haha! The rest of them were sweating. Sorry guys!!! Q had a talking to after that about not touching the thermostat haha
Uncle Jon Jon babysitting the girls. Mary and I were together when he sent this pic and we both just started laughing. Hilarious and so not flattering for any of them haha!
Little cuties!
There were some hiking spots out by Lomas Lake that Jon wanted to check out to see if Wildside could use them during canoe expedition. So him and Scott got their gear ready and spent the day out quaking together. So fun!
Jon and I went to bed one night and this is what we found tucked into our covers. Cute, and a little creepy haha. She must have "put them to bed" earlier in the day and I didn't notice
Pumpkin carving time at youth group - I saw this on the nifty website. Hot glue crayons to the top and then melt them for a sweet effect. Well, it didn't work at all. I don't know if its because of the cheap crayons I bought or what, but I was so sad! The youth found it pretty funny, watching me with my hair dryer, crayons breaking and nothing happening haha
At MMO we had a big clothing and toy exchange. We got some SWEET scores! Quinny got two new jackets that look brand new and are really cute, and a ton of clothes. I didn't really want to go home with any toys because she has lots, but she spotted this from across the room and it was game over. She was so insistent about it, but quietly, because there were adults all around and she gets pretty shy. But she was standing over it, looking at me so intently and kept whispering "please mama, please!" so I caved and we took it home. And it was a good choice! She has played with it NON stop since we got it! She rocks her babies and puts them to sleep in there and cooks at that tiny sink. She loves this thing. And when she's done with it, it will be a good thing to keep passing along!
Last day of swimming lessons! She passed with flying colors. This was such a great program, we look forward to doing it again in the new year!
I had to work, and Jon sends this to me while I'm there. He said she went and got her harness and her helmet by herself and asked him to put it on, so he did, and then she went to the stairs and started "rappelling". She holds on and kicks her feet out down to the next step and pretends that she is rappelling, and then "rock climbs" back up. What an imagination! So cool that rock climbing and rappelling are things that she has the chance to do and are on her mind
Dani getting ready to attack the little rock climber haha
Slowly starting to warm up to each other. Dani can at least now be in Henrik's presence without Henrik getting mad. He will hiss when Dani pushes the bounds though and comes too close haha.
Matching legging day! I bought these last year and they were way too big for her then. Now they fit great! We wore them all day long haha!

This is an actual published children's book that Jon's grade 1 teacher wrote - and it is based on a true story about Jon!! She mailed him a copy with a very sweet note in it! The book is adorable and it makes me laugh that it's a true story! Jon was pretty touched by this. He said that he never really stood out as a kid from his siblings, Luke was always the star, Aimee was the smart one and Calea was the cute little one, so this was pretty affirming for him. His kind and gentle heart has always been a major part of who he is! He of course then took pictures of the book and sent it to my mom and brother and shelby and told them that they all need to take lessons from him and that he will send them each a copy for Christmas hahah! Oh Jon.

She loves going out to the driveway to play basketball, and asks us to come play with her often. I took a video of her one day because she was jumping and shooting and doing so well (and other times not so well ha) but this video was awesome and shocking! So I took a screen shot of this moment - look at that form! Maybe it was a fluke, but it still impressed us haha.
Midnight Madness at the 49th grocery store in Chemainus. They had some good deals on stuff and they had a ton of draws. We entered all of them (some more than once.....) but didn't win a thing. But we still had fun doing it. Love small life.
