On the 2nd my mom claimed that day "for just her". She wanted us and Brandon and Shelby and Trevor and his kids all together for a whole day. We decided to go out sledding in Elk Water for our day of fun. Q was very interested in the snow and kept saying "mama what IS that stuff?" which I thought was pretty funny. Brooke came along too because she was alone at home that day. We bundled up and packed lunches and off we went for the day!
It was SUCH a great day. I feel like I keep saying that over and over, but really, the week of Christmas and New Years really was so good with our families. Quinny didn't like the snow being on her, she kept saying "its making me messy!" haha. She was timid at first but got into things pretty quick, once she saw us doing it. The hill we were at was a HUGE one, so she was only allowed to go down the small parts. But the rest of us big kids had a great time running around and racing each other and doubling up, and going really fast.
There Q goes with her Daddy! THIS is real sledding!

Walking back up the big hill.
That's my mom but I can't tell who else is there - this is a shot from almost the top of where we were
Going down with my love! We got some serious speed and I started panicking, thinking about my poor neck so I put my feet down... bad call since we were going so fast.. it just resulted in Jon getting sprayed with snow pretty much the entire way down. Sorry Jon!
Shelby was awesome with Q the whole day, taking her down the little hill and making sure she was having fun too
Beauties!!
There she goes by herself on the little hill - once she went by herself she didn't want to go with anyone else, she loved it haha. We got some awesome videos of her
I love this picture, because I remember laughing when we took this, and being totally in the moment. I wasn't distracted, wasn't hurting, there was no other thoughts other than just being there with my family, and that is so rare for me lately. And Jon too was just laughing lots, and playing with Quinny in the snow. Just pure fun. I like looking back on these pictures. Also, how handsome is my husband?! Wowie!
The suspenders crew!
Lauren showed up with Jace and Rayne too - Quinny immediately just went to Rayne and only wanted to play with her haha. Thankfully Rayne is such a mother hen and so good with her
Quinny got braver and wanted to start a little higher up, so we let her, with us super close by. Here she is bailing and eating a lot of snow!
We thought she would cry so we were cheering and laughing, trying to make her not feel afraid. Wasted efforts, because she got up laughing, thinking it was awesome - no fear here!
Brandon went down the little hill and Q was standing there and as he went past, he grabbed her and pulled her onto his lap, which startled her, but she thought it was funny. This picture is SO funny because you can clearly see everyone trying to jump out of their way haha
She was giggling so hard! So cute. What a great uncle!
End of the day, getting ready to pack up! We were all pooped and ready to get home!
Watching Paw Patrol with Uncle Brandon before bed. We all slept great that night!
